Personality

"Go. You're just gonna leave me anyway."

Having lived a pretty difficult childhood, Dayeon resented the fortunate and the lazy. She's quick to berate people with no redeeming qualities. The girl worked her whole life, valuing every second and always trying to use it to the fullest. But Dayeon knows no matter how much she tries to push through, she'll never be at the top; simply because she wasn't born with a golden spoon.

She spent most of the time alone, just because she hates how fake they are all and that they all just going to leave in the end. Her one reason to live was the one man she loved and her grandmother. Now both gone from her life, the feeling of helplessness pulled her to the fateful VRMMO game, Terrasphere.

Her anger was unrepressed and her hate was unbound. Her name is Lune, and she will destroy anything that tries to demean her.

Positive: Well-Mannered, Generous, Hardworking
Negative: Gloomy, Hateful

Background

"Don't misunderstand. I smile easily because it does me good."

Her story was not an interesting one. Born to a Korean immigrant couple, Dayeon was raised by her grandmother as her parents cut contacts and never came back. Childhood without parents isn't easy at all, she had to put up with all the bullying. Her grandmother's shoulder was always there for her to cry on. She believed that her grandmother would always be there for her. But death was a cruel mistress, and with that, she was left alone again.

Soon after, she left for Boston after dropping out of high school. With no one to support her, she juggled several jobs just to avoid living on the street, ranging from being a dishwasher, courier, waitress, clerk and cashier.

One beautiful day she met an aspiring basketball player. It was not long before she realized that he sees through all her lies and embraced the real her. She loved him with every cell in her body and she knew he did too. They went years and years, knowing they have each other.

Dayeon figured out that if she was going to move up in the world, she'll have to go outside her comfort zone. Intrigued by an audition to become the next idol star, Dayeon saw glimpses of fame and riches she never had. She hesitated to try, but Kenji fully supported her, assuring her that everything is going to be alright if they try their hardest. And so, she flew back to her lands of origin, in turn reassuring him that she'll be back soon to marry him.

They liked her. She was pretty, has the perfect figure, speaks perfect English, and was not actually that bad at singing or dancing. Particularly, her mysterious, cold charm was the dealmaker. A five-year-long contract was enacted, setting up her as the leader of the k-pop girl group Slime Girls, which rose to international fame due to their witty, video-gamey concept.

Kenji went on to become the hotshot college basketball player, with every eye fixated to get him once he graduated. They spent the nights talking about how far they made it in the world, reaffirming that they'll meet again in no time.

Things went well, or too well in fact, as one day he got into a career-ending accident. Everything was fine afterwards, but that accident slowly creates a rift between the two. There wasn't any proper goodbye, as they just slowly drifted apart, before finally stopping contacting each other altogether. Dayeon was never able to figure out what went wrong between them, as the years go by.

Now an adult, she went back to the United States to pursue her career as a solo idol singer. She frequents a café which she occasionally sings in, waiting for a certain someone to walk by that door again, in the place they first met.

She had caught the news of Terrasphere a few years ago, but she had no means to access it. Now that the VRMMO resurfaced again, she jumped straight into it. She's experienced the real world already. There's no way this other world is as fake as the one she had lived in.

Afflictions

Death: 1

Steel Auxesis
Your wounded heart has become a source of growth for your hate. Every time you are within close proximity to steel (~5 feet), a steel shard will grow within your chest until it's big enough to be ripped out. Be careful, however, when the steel shard is small and embedded, it is painful, but it's nothing compared to the wound left behind by a certain someone, right? The more steel and exposure there is, the faster the growth, and the swifter the pain, all until it's ripped out and the cycle repeats itself.

Build

More monster than a woman, Lune holds complete control of her physiology, allowing her to manipulate, shapeshift, regenerate, and adapt to any kind of circumstances offensively and defensively. Paired with swordsmanship and various magical prowess, the Steel Reaver is a terrifying all-rounder to fight against.

Great Weapon Fighting
Slash Weapons
Bad girl woke up and chose violence.

Using her enhanced physique, Lune uses her strength to wield heavy slash weapons and swing them with tremendous force. Her weapon type of choice are Greatswords and Two-Handed Longsword. Her fighting style revolves around elaborate footwork into a devastating counter, paired with utility magic to strengthen her physical force.

Utility Magic
Animancy | Astramancy | Gravimancy | Harmonic Magic
Like it's magnetic.

Surprisingly a master-level spellcaster, Lune wields different type of magic readily available at her repertoire.

Gravimancy: Mainly a mobility magic, she can wield it to hinder and disable enemies, while manipulating the gravity to move herself at a high speed, allowing her to float or fly for a short time. This control over gravity also enables her to make herself or her attacks heavier.

Astramancy: Having access to the astral realm enables Lune to harness the cosmic energy, adding magical power to most of her attacks, or wielding the pure energy itself to shoot or blast enemy with.

Harmonic Magic: Allows her to use her voice as conduit for her other magics, while in the same time giving her support capabilities such as healing, hypnosis, and buffing.

Animancy: Lune controls her own lifeforce, while also having the ability to take it from others. It extends to her physical body regeneration, and minor bodily alterations such as moving vital organs from an attack. As long as Lune has the energy to expend, she will basically regenerate indefinitely. Lack of energy will cause her body to gradually shrink.

Chalybs Mutatio
Metamorph | Steel Auxesis | Nameless Sword
Girls never die.

With Metamorph, Lune can adapt, mutate and evolve at will, altering her physical to allow limb manipulation, beast-like transformation, and even wings-like apparatus. It can also be used as a short-term appearance changer.

When Lune gained the Steel Auxesis, she eventually realized that it was also part of her body now, enabling her to manipulate this special biosteel as long as there's a sufficient amount of it. With this, she can enshroud herself in bodysuit-like thin layer of steel to protect herself from attacks, or even pull the whole auxesis out and transform it into a weapon when it gets big enough.

As Lune bonded with the Nameless Sword, it is part of her now, allowing it to disappear and fuse into her body and the Steel Reaver seamlessly, acting as extension of herself, and can be summoned by pulling out the steel auxesis.

Steel Auxesis (Magical Focus) - Death affliction turned a source of power, the pain of the steel shard continuously growing in her chest provided enough power for Lune to show superhuman feats and powerful magic through her power. Using Animancy and Metamorph, the biometal was able to be manipulated, allowing her to create a protective layer of this steel both inside and outside her body, and even use it to regenerate lost body parts.

Steel Reaver / Nameless Sword (Parastic Weapon) - It takes the form of either a 90-inch greatblade, or a 75-inch long odachi. After failing to take over Lune, the symbiotic weapon was assimilated by her instead, allowing it to fuse with herself and the Steel Auxesis, forming the Steel Reaver. When the situation calls for it, Lune can pull out the Steel Auxesis embedded in herself, causing the shard to immediately take form into the weapon of her choice. It is still considered part of her body and her magical focus.

Night Queen's Shroud (Heavy Armor) - Unique traveler's outfit with an Eastern oriental touch. The upper chest area is exposed, showing the monstrous steel embedded in it.

Trait Description
Magical Receptacle (Sight). Lune's left eye is modified to be able to clearly see magic, at the cost of impaired sight as everything looked like it was viewed from a thermal sight from that eye. You got me looking for attention.

Magical Receptacle (Touch). Her body is modified to be able to 'touch' magic, and this also comes at the cost of numbing her touch sense, but as a result, pain is also greatly numbed. Having Steel Auxesis with this also means she can also detect steel, particularly if it's magic-imbued. You make me feel special.

Magical Receptacle (Taste). Lune senses any kind of magic just by tasting substances. The signatures, and to the point of how and when it was cast will be known to her. She can't, however, sense anything Alchemy-based since no magic was involved. Take it, don't break it, I wanna see you taste it

Magical Receptacle (Sound). Hear magic. Any incantations, oncoming spells, and even curses are audible to Lune. If Lune is also particularly adept at the same kind of magic, she could replicate and copy the spell just by listening to it. I play it by ear.

Fate Thread. Lune is connected to various things in this world with the fate thread.

Excommunication (Tyldr).
The nobles and knights of Falderen, as well as any other who has made an oath or are particularly into Tyldr, will know that you have done something to earn the god's disdain. Think of it as a permanent mark upon your soul. As well, any boons or buffs that are rooted in Tyldr's blessing will not apply to you. The sun no longer smiles upon Lune, and if she does plan on redeeming herself, she won't be able to accomplish that simply by performing heroic deeds or saving lives.
