Personality
In game, Kat isn't super different from her normal self, but she is definitely playing up the cute robot factor as much as she can. Outside of the game, she's a bit of a trouble maker, and a bit of a con artist, but is otherwise a very optimistic and happy go lucky person. In game, she has translated this into the amplified joy emotional trait, so that she can be happy happy happy all the time!
She is the more impulsive and air headed type, often finding herself in situations she never meant to be in, usually because of a con. But when she isn't getting herself into trouble, she's usually the life of the party, and a social butterfly. Everyone can get along with her bubbly charm and fun optimism, although in the game she plans on turning this into a weapon she can use. Everyone will trust the cute little robot, won't they?

Background
Kat grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and lived a fairly standard student life. She was fairly popular with the boys, but never had any real interest in them, much to their chagrin, and her parents were well off enough that they got by. Kat's real life began when she became an adult, after graduating with a fairly low passing average. She knew she wasn't going to get into any colleges anytime soon, and so she took up bartending school instead.
Fascinated with geisha culture, she found herself gravitating towards a bar that themed itself around kimonos and fancy dress for the bar staff. She ended up becoming one of the more popular waitresses and bartenders in the place, and found that men would often give her lavish gifts and money for even just the promise of whatever they could dream of. Kat never gave in, but often when they realized that the deal was off, they would corner her and try to take it by force instead.
This is when Kat met Ryou, someone she had seen around the bar before, but someone who clearly just wanted to forget their troubles and the world and get lost in a drunken stupor. But yet, this woman who had never spoken to Kat before defended her and ran off multiple attempts from men to harass her. In return for getting her out of trouble, Kat would attempt to lavish plenty of the gifts and money on Ryou, but was turned down at almost every attempt. It wasn't until a man came in that offered to get them VR adapters for the new hit games hitting the market that Kat took a turn down a dangerous path.
Kat offered herself and Ryou to the man, for a VR headset for each of them, thinking that this would have no long term consequences. But what ensued was a long struggle of stalking, attempted sexual assault, and ultimately a legal battle between the two sides that eventually came out with Kat and Ryou as the victors. In this, Kat and Ryou formed an inseparable bond, and fell in love, and began dating. And soon after that, they found Terrasphere. Despite being warned by Ryou about how dangerous the game was, Kat just couldn't help herself, and dragged her girlfriend along with her for yet another adventure.
