Character

Hubert was born in Germany to a relatively wealthy family that owned a steel mill. During his early ages, he was homeschooled diligently but spent most of his free time at the Weiss Family Steel Mill to help his family earn more wealth. Very quickly it was clear that this young boy was meant to assist and aid others physically with very quickly growing massive form and muscular physique. His genuine and positive personally struct a mutually respective tone with his family's workers and they worked very well with each other.

A few months after his 16th birthday, tragedy struck when a core component of the steel mill machinery malfunction spewing molten hot lava-like steel all over the area. Fires started everywhere in the facility. Many workers were critically injured but Hubert managed to stay completely uninjured. He bravely ran into the burning building and saved countless injured workers while simultaneously extinguishing with a multitude of conveniently located fire extinguishers. Luckily his well timed help was the perfect antidote to buy enough time for the local fire department to arrive on the scene and put an end to the fires.

His heroic actions and quick thinking not only saved the lives of many workers and the facility itself, but also resonated with the Fire Chief who quickly offered him a job to which he happily accepted. He felt the immense joy and adulation he received was well worth the pay cut and left the family company on good terms. As he grew into a young adult, he rose amongst the ranks of the fire department while simultaneously learning the ropes and saving endangered lives. During this time, he really learned how to give it all he had no matter what negative things he might occur to himself. He often went home battered, bruised, cut, bleeding, singed and dispirited but he never lost hope even when inevitable loss occurred.

Eventually he felt the call of the new world and moved off the the Americas and continued his fire-man duties in the bustling city of New York where he met and married the love of his life Carly Partoff whom was a local dinner waitress. Eventually they had a set of twins and everything was going smoothly.

Around the time he turned 35 is when a terrible fire struck a local apartment complex. It was unknown what the cause was, but the fire blossomed and sprouted out of almost every room. Hundreds of people were trapped with little to no hope of getting out. Geared in all the protective fire-retardant attire he could possible carry, Hubert and the rest of the firemen dashed into the building with the goal of saving all.

As they were nearing the top floor, his team decided to turn back as it was too dangerous to progress any further. That is the moment that he heard the cries of help from the next floor. That's all it took for Hubert to dash ahead into the fiery abyss of inferno that lied ahead. Cuddled in the corner was a young toddler with their younger baby sibling in their clutches.

Without delay, he calmed them down the best he could and held them in his arms. At this point all around him were nothing but a sea of flames; completely disorienting and hopeless. But Hubert trusted his gut and pressed on as he attempted to leave the building. Constant debris peppered his body as the flames finally penetrated the gear and began to sear his very flesh. Filled with adrenaline and the motivation to protect the children, he pressed on while ignoring the damage the best he could.

Fortunately in the end he made it out of the terrible tragedy with the two kids alive, mostly unharmed from the flames. Hubert however instantly collapsed on the ground and was quickly shipped to the hospital. All four of his limbs were terribly singed, and in some places debris could be found stabbed. There was no option left but to amputate Hubert's arms and legs

Throughout the years he continued to help people the best he could within the fire department. Although his nerve damage and limb loss stopped him from physically helping people, he still taught the new firemen recruits. Although many nights he would have nightmares of the fire incident but he still remained positive in his outlook even after his wife took his kids and left him saying, "You are half the man I used to know."

He remained in touch with his children however, and after his parents died he received a sizeable inheritance which allowed him to live in a sort of luxury. And to an extent, his wife was right. Ever since the incident a glint of passion seemed to be lacking in his eyes. On the eve of his 65th birthday/retirement party, a man in his thirties came up to him and said, "I have something to show you. You saved me, now let me save you. Have you heard of... Terrasphere? You'll be able to help others how you've always wanted!" And thats how Hubert was then introduced to the wonderful world of Terrasphere.
