Personality

If there's a word that could describe Darko, it would be "douchebag". If there would be something that he thought was foolish matters, his response would range from a small frown to heavily insulting. Although he sometimes could utter a joke, it was to lighten his own mood, and it was always at the expense of someone he did not like at all, which should likely be more than half of the current population of any place he was in. He had an utter dislike for any disorder he would see around him, and sometimes including his own. And so he always strive to be the most perfect person that he could be, so that no one could poke him back if ever. But although he was like that, sometimes a figment of his real self would show, and barring his insults, he was never really evil at all.

Background

There had been a news in the local newspapers of Serbia that the Milosevic Group, headed by the current patriarch Miroslav, would invest in the American market and would establish its headquarters in Boston. One of the "rags-to-riches" type of people in the world, Miroslav started to save at the instigation of his parents at he age of 6, and by 12 Miroslav had amassed a fortune enough to start a small business while he was still studying. By shrewdly investing in networking firms while trying to grow the business, the 1,000-euro business grew into a 50,000-euro business within 5 years. Shifting his focus from the networking firms to the European stock market, his wealth grew until he was one of the most successful businessmen of his time.

He was happily married with an American woman and had one daughter from the marriage. While they were on a business trip to New York, as Miroslav was investing in the NYSE, his wife discovered the game Terrasphere, and was so immersed in the experience that when they were on the way back to Boston, she gave a copy of the client to Miroslav as he was also into VR games, telling him that they should play together some time. Miroslav agreed with his wife, thinking that it would further establish their love for each other. But as Miroslav was driving the car, he encountered a speeding truck hurtling towards their direction, and although Miroslav tried to evade the truck, it was too late. As he found himself in a hospital after the accident seriously injured, he found out that he was the only survivor: his wife and daughter died due to fatal wounds from the accident. Severely broken from the incident and having nothing to do as he recovered his wounds, as he petitioned to move him to his mansion in Boston to be nursed there, he took the VR unit and then played the game that reminded him of his wife, his daughter, and the accident that killed them both, to celebrate their lives when they had lived.

But all things must come to an end, and Miroslav found himself forcibly disconnected from the game. Without any warning, without any bulletin update. But by then Miroslav had already coped with the tragic loss, and he thought that maybe the disconnection was for his own good: he had always read newspapers and watched news shows and he saw a number of mysterious deaths showing up in the papers which was attributed to the game itself. Whether the news was true or not, Miroslav heaved a sigh of relief as he then continued on to his various ventures. But as his wealth increased and the number of his ventures in the financial world grew, Miroslav still felt a deep void in his psyche. The only people interested in him currently were only after his wealth, and the only place where his wealth in this world did not matter is in that place. He wanted to go to Terrasphere again. Not for the memories of his family. He wants to go back there for his own happiness. Yes, there are also games that features an open world; games that are much more safer and sanctioned by the VRSA for his own safety. But these do not give the same atmosphere, the same thrill, the same happiness he got as that cursed, sentient, illegal game that for all he knew might be even some kind of an alien virus. And so when he had again received that notification to play Terrasphere again, he eagerly jumped in into the opportunity that might never come again, as if it was the best financial deal of all time.
