Personality
Juliane is a serious, ambitious workaholic whose social life is mostly limited to the connections she's established in relation to her professional life. She is a no-nonsense perfectionist who demands as much of others as she does herself. She is carefully restrained, keeping herself under control most of the time. Here and there, her sharp tongue does make an appearance. Her critical tongue lashings are certainly a thing to be feared. However, she has a deep-seated fear of failure, and sometimes feels like she doesn't belong – that she's an imposter. Her private downtime is often spent on gaming, where she can explore different ways of being. It feels good to let go.
In Terrasphere, Cyrus is a whimsical, free-spirited rascal. He is always looking for a good time, whether that be hanging out with his friends, seeking challenging fights or quests, exploring the world, and more. He does what strikes his fancy, and can be a bit noncommittal; if his interest in the current task wanes, he is liable to 'leave it for later'. The promise of a good reward is usually enough to keep him dedicated to something, however. Of course, qualities from his real-life character do leak into his game persona as well. Cyrus is surprisingly detail-oriented, and when he wants to get something done, he won't overlook any avenues for achieving his goal. When using the game to vent, he can be quite malicious. He doesn't stray into pure troll territory, but will shit talk, kill steal, trick, thieve or otherwise inconvenience others if compelled to. He does his best to play it off as 'all in good fun', but this behaviour may be irritating none the less.

Background
Born as the single child of an upper middle-class couple in Germany, Juliane has had a privileged, yet demanding life. Her parents always wanted the best for her, and instilled in her the urge for success. They placed high expectations on her; she went to the best schools, had tutors hired just to ensure she got the highest marks in her classes, was encouraged to participate in various extra-curriculars, and had all her associations carefully screened. However, she was also rewarded for doing well – mostly with gifts of a material nature.
There were few things Juliane had the space to want and obtain for herself, but those she did, she clung to fervently. In her professional life, that was pursuing fashion design. She has successfully completed the required schooling, has gained an entry-level job she's seeking to advance in, and now lives independently. In her personal life, she has a long history of gaming as a hobby. Games, especially MMOs, were an environment where she could let go of her day-to-day worries, act more freely, and socialize with whomever she liked in whatever manner she fancied.
Though she knew of Terrasphere as that mystical, elusive game, she didn't actively pursue obtaining its client. Nonetheless, she happened upon it unexpectedly and entirely by chance. She'd been surfing the net one night, watching historic fashion videos as a diversion. In one of those, a QR code appeared – curious enough to take the risk despite knowing it might be something malicious, she scanned it. She was confounded to have gained so simply what many others spent years seeking, but didn't question her fortune. Juliane installed the game.
That was when another incarnation of her was created; one Cyrus Sylvester.
