Personality
Canen Osiris, at first glance, is easy to underestimate. His lithe frame and outwardly quiet nature allows him to blend into crowds rather than stand out from them, and often chooses to listen carefully than speak. However, underneath this unassuming exterior lies a dormant force.
Canen is an extremely capable martial artist, and has no qualms about standing up and fighting when the situation dictates it so. Once in the heat of battle he is determined and laser focused on accomplishing his goals, and carries a ferocity during combat that betrays his quiet stature. Outside of battle, Canen is friendly, polite and rather laid-back. He is quick to assist his friends, and sometimes even his enemies, for his motto is "to open one's eyes for a moment is better than closing them forever".
Canen accepts that whilst it is not always possible to come to a compromise, not to try constitutes a bigger failure. He can however be rather dogmatic with his principles, and sometimes cannot see that unchecked charity can cause greater harm than intended.

Background
A married father of two working a full time job in Manchester UK, Christian's life has been one of routine for many years. The pressures of his work in finance, and the stresses of parenthood, have meant that the 36 year old has dedicated most of his free time to the pursuit of career and family without much thought for himself. Whilst his career and his children have proven to be successful so far, the middle aged, working class man still feels a void in his life that he can't seem to fill.
In the small amounts of spare time he does have, Christian often obsesses over martial arts films and immerses himself in games for escapism. He dreams of being able to have the same discipline, fitness and skill of those martial artists he idolises, and often draws comparisons between the portrayal of their lives to his polar opposite one, wishing for more. To feed his desire to be something more, Christian tries to escape the tiring routine of his life to other games.
One day, after a rare drunken night out with a friend, Christian learned of the black market game Terrasphere. The game promised him a tantalising package; a place to truly escape the pressures of life to. A place to essentially live the second life that he craved, and an immersive experience that would allow him to meet new people and obtain that "something more" that he felt had been missing.
It wasn't without risk, and he knew it as he contemplated the QR code on the screen in front of him. This was unregulated, dangerous software. It had been outlawed for a reason. Yet, the temptation for a form of freedom beyond his mundane existence was just too much. As he scanned the code and prepared the hardware, Christian resolved that Terrasphere may have been dangerous, but the real world was far, far worse.
It was then he conceived of Canen Osiris; his avatar, and the extension of his hopes and dreams into this new world. A manifestation of everything he wanted to be, and could not attain on Earth.
As he plugged in, and everything momentarily faded to black, he re-assured himself that the world really was a worse place than a game. Whether those thoughts were true or not, only time would eventually tell...
