Human Bradwynne

Kieran was born to a lower middle-class family of Irish ancestry in Girard Estate in South Philadelphia. As a student, he was a slacker; although it was said by his teachers that he would pass with flying colors if he would put his mind into the subject, which he always did when he was deeply interested in them, as was always the case with his music and mathematics subjects. As a result, his marks were a hodgepodge of extremely high and barely passing. Although his parents had noticed this when he was 9 in a local grade school, but was more serious than when he was 14, the result of which that he became enrolled in the magnet school within their locality due to his quirks; it barely changed in the new school, although he took note not to make his parents worry too much. Mostly he spent much of his time outside school on everything except studying: hanging out with friends, playing role-playing games, with the occasional surfing the net, sometimes with the pretension that he was preparing for the next day of class.

It happened one day ago. Once Kieran had to make an assignment on world history, may have been the lone one that he would be submitting just to complete his grades. He had another classmate of his compile a series of assignments that that person made, since it was related to the assignment then. Kieran asked the person if he can submit it via e-mail, so that he can look at it while he was typing, so as to get fluid results. The person obliged, and Kieran received the e-mail, along with another e-mail from another friend, another RPG junkie. Kieran wondered why a person who he had not heard of for a long while would reach out to him. He opened the e-mail, which looks like it was forwarded from an account which name was unreadable. The e-mail read, "This game is fun! I am sure you will also be hooked!", along with the forwarded e-mail that was inviting him to a VRMMORPG. Kieran had a VR unit which he bought for another VRMMORPG, but the game died down, and he longed for another one which would challenge his capabilities. And so he hopped onto his VR unit, downloaded the client, and the character named Bradwynne Lambert began his adventure in the Terrasphere.

He stayed within this world full of adventures that he did not notice what will happen before it was too late: the protruding spire from the ground ended the prospective career of the Kieran Lambert of the real world, and he is now only Bradwynne Lambert of the world of Terrasphere. The fact and all its implications did not set on him that much as he continued his adventures as daring as he could be, until the time all of the players who were not locked within this world disappeared all at the same time, never to return again. Then it all dawned on him: the fact that he was now a resident of this world and this was the only life he had and he should use it wisely. This fear overcame the once intrepid swordsman, and he never participated in any large venture again, being content on opening his own storefront and only hunting down what was needed in his business. But these peaceful days ended when he heard the rumors that a group had been hunting down people who were locked within the game. The people that were once his comrades-in-arms began falling prey to this group one by one, and his own inaction while these horrible things had been happening struck him at his core, and he grew more and more furious. On this world that took all of their first lives. On those people who deigned to kill them a second time. On his own fears to protect the people he love, even at the cost of his own life. Never again should another person that he cherish lose their life in this world against this malevolent group, while he was still alive.

With the lingering anger deep-seated in his heart, Bradwynne took up his sword again.
