Personality
Ava is an aristocratic individual with an even demeanor, the kind of woman that gives off an air of nobility. She approaches matter with an unmatched degree of delicacy and poise. Her manner of speaking treads the fine line between playful and flirtatious, and it can be hard to entirely know what she is thinking. Still, she is easy to get along with and is willing to do a lot for those who depend on her. Well spoken and seemingly kind, Ava plays what seems to be the ideal woman.
Behind the noble act and beautiful avatar, Petra is an empty shell. She lives only to make money for her caretakers and to do what she must to survive. As a result, she is self-centered in the sense that she only looks for her next source of funding, regardless of what form that might take. While clearly understanding what she wants, Petra is subservient to the point of seeing desperate at times in the pursuit of money. Given that her continued ability to eat is on the line, this isn't entirely unexpected.

Background
The woman who would eventually be known as Petra didn't have a happy life. Born as an "accident" to unhappy parents, love and care were sparse commodities for a young Petra. Her parents did as much as was needed to keep her clothed and fed, but that was all. Despite the near-absence of warmth and affection, the girl was "happy" by some definition of the word. Everything changed when she was 10 years old, and her parents gave her to some "caretakers." Petra wouldn't know it at the time, but a substantial sum of money changed hands that day.
From then on, she lived just short of a living hell. Bestowed with the name "Petra" and nothing more, the girl spent her days in training learning how to be a proper lady. Manners, the proper way of speaking, how to carry herself with nobility and grace... One would think they had started training her to be an aristocrat. Alas, her quality of life was anything but comfortable. Petra spent her days in a small, dismal cell. If she completed her training in a satisfactory manner, she was awarded with food, clothing, and meager comforts. If she failed, then isolation and near-starvation was all she could look forward to.
After all, the very thing that had landed Petra in these terrible people's clutches was the very thing that they made her go through all this training for: Money. If Petra couldn't earn for them, then why should they keep her? Her training took on a very different quality as she got older until soon she was ready for whatever nefarious purposes they had for her. Petra may have been left to a cruel fate in a pleasure house, to perish in obscurity.
Terrasphere, ironically, would be her saving grace. Its illegal nature gave it a certain degree of unregulated freedom that other games of its type simply wouldn't allow. Petra's "caretakers" saw a prime opportunity for their merchandise to reach a far broader audience. She became their new experiment, a test run of offering their dubious services through VR experience. To those that knew where to look, Petra's "services" were the next hot commodity in a list of illegalities that only touched the surface of Terrasphere's darker corners.
