Lin Baozhai's family fled to Japan when she was just a baby. The reason was something about her father and his tax returns, though she didn't really care and still doesn't to this day. She was an only child, which explains her terrible sense of self and her inflated self-importance. Even though her parents could have made another sibling after her, since they were already in peaceful Japan, they didn't. Baozhai was too much already and the two were serious workaholics. Strangely, since they started living in the new country, their parents never had problems with their tax returns or anything of the sort. Must just be an old country thing.

Baozhai's first job was as a civil servant for a local government unit. She ended up being bored with that job and quitting after a year or two. The fact that she managed to survive the past three months was already a miracle. She ended up managing her own tea shop after her father bought her one for her birthday. That's been her job ever since. Or is it?

Every now and then, a mysterious young woman visits the tea shop to speak with Baozhai privately. Then Baozhai would disappear on "vacation" for a couple of months. Every time this mysterious young woman would visit the tea shop, Baozhai would spend the next few months on "vacation."

One time, one of her employees candidly asked her what was going on, to which she explained that she was working for the government as a spy...before laughing with them. It's pretty effed up, but to this day, no one else knows what's the deal with the mysterious young woman, from whom Baozhai also received a copy of the game known as Terrasphere.
